Michelle Therien lost his job after a disappointing loss to the Buds.

The latest victim, Tom Renney.

Renney was fired after a 3-2 loss to Toronto Sunday.

The New York Rangers announced that John Torterlla will be their new head coach.

Torterlla will make his debut Wednesday in Toronto.


There was only one goal in the NHL last night.

In the lone game the San Jose Sharks got by the Stars, 1-0.

Devin Setoguchi scored at 12:05 in the third.

Evgeni Nabokov made 29 saves to preserve the shutout, his 45th career shutout and the Shakrs 4th straight win.


The city of Edmonton has been awarded the 2010 Grey Cup.

The CFL's most coveted prize will stay in Alberta for two years, as the 2009 Grey Cup is in Calgary.


The Toronto Blue Jays will be without Vernon Wells for the remainder of spring training.

Yesterday, Wells hurt his hamstring while running the basses.

This is Wells second year of the seven year $126 Million dollar contract.



Devin Harris of the Nets had 39 points, including a final second buzzer beater to seal the 98-96 win over the 76er's.

Andre Iguodala had 21 points in the loss.



Lil'Nate Robinson led the way for the Knicks in their 123-119 win over Indiana.

Robinson finished with 41 points.



The Boston Celtics dismantled the Denver Nuggets, 114-76.

Rajon Rondo had 14 points, 8 assists and 8 boards.



Ronnie Brewer had 19 points, to help lead Utah to the 108-89 win over Atlanta.


The Hornets beat the Kings, 112-105.


The Clippers beat the Warriors, 118-105.



Coming off their highest scoring game in nearly a month, the Raptors look to defeat Minnesota for the 10th straight time tonight when the teams meet at the Air Canada Centre.
